Registering @ Babies R Us

Today we made the plunge of beginning the registering process. After church and going to my brother's my wife and I headed over to Babies R Us to start registering for things that don't matter whether we are having a boy or girl. We signed up and were handed a scanning gun which I took control of, my wife took the clipboard with the color coordinated "remember to buy this" sheet that the store gives you. We spent probably an hour or more looking at things like, travel systems, video monitors, cribs, etc. The idea is to start now and slowly get it done, we don't want to add any stress with all that will be happening when the baby is almost here. We will have a new house, then the baby right after that. Lord help us. We'll see if we get what we want on our registry? Its funny how we tend to gravitate to the expensive items, and that's without even looking at the price tags. I think we will however spend more on the crib than we thought. If you get a nice one it will work for all the babies you may have. Its better to have quality and have it last than have to buy a new one each time. We'll see I guess.

The changes: She has been checked out by several guy's this weekend. What they say about pregnant woman glowing must be true. (Not to say she isn't always this beautiful)

Avocado!!!

Just thought I'd post this little excerpt from BabyCenter that I receive on a weekly basis.

Hello from BabyCenter!

At 4 1/2 inches long (head to bottom) and 3 1/2 ounces, your baby is about the size of an avocado. In the next three weeks, she'll go through a tremendous growth spurt, doubling her weight and adding inches to her length. Her lower limbs are much more developed now. Her head is more erect than it has been, and her eyes have moved toward the front of her head. Your baby's ears are close to their final position, too. Some of her more advanced body systems are working, including her circulatory system and urinary tract. The patterning of her scalp has begun, though her hair isn't recognizable yet. Although closed, her eyes are moving (slowly), and she's even started growing toenails. Her finger - and toenails will continue to grow throughout pregnancy, so don't be surprised if she needs them trimmed soon after birth.

Its Alive!!!

She thinks she felt the baby move or kick yesterday!!! She is really really excited to feel the baby. She continues to get that cute pregnant look, she is showing more and more. The sickness hasn't come back which is good, but she is getting more and more tired. She really doesn't want to work anymore, one being she is tired, two being she wants more time for herself, to do what she wants. I keep telling her she will be getting plenty of that the closer she gets to having the baby. She will be begging to go back to work after a while. The Act of Vomitting

Sick days

It happened! My wife didn't feel good Saturday morning and finally after taking some Tylenol she had to run to the bathroom and proceeded to vomit!!! Finally she had a sick day from the pregnancy. She is very grateful after not feeling good all Saturday that she has only had one day feeling like that.

We are getting closer and closer to the day finding out the sex of our first baby, we are very excited. No matter what the sex we will be ecstatic.

The changes:She finally got sick from the pregnancy. Though she has been fine since Saturday.

156 Beats per minute

My little baby has a strong heart beat of 156 bpm. Dr. Keys says everything is good, heart beat is strong, the measurements are good. The heart beat really made my wife happy today. She was actually glowing today even before we went in for the appointment. The good news is we have an appointment set for THE ultrasound to see if we are having a boy or girl. It will be so nice knowing so we can for sure call the baby he or she. For now we have been saying he. Once we know we can start thinking more seriously about names.

The changes: My wife is definitely showing more, today she looked so cute with the little belly.
