13 weeks

We have officially reached the second trimester. Ahhh it feels good. Our trip to Japan went well and we were successful in surprising them. We also surprised them with the news of the coming baby. Having a baby is almost a requirement it seems in our family, everyone has one or is pregnant with the second or third baby.

The changes: Her stomach is getting bigger. She did good with the flights but didn't do well with the plane food.

12 weeks

Week 12 of the pregnancy has begun. The baby is 2.5 inches from crown to rump. Most structures are formed at this point and now the baby grows. My wife is getting more and more conscience of the baby belly. After twelve weeks the uterus is too large to be held in the pelvic area. The typical 3 month time where it starts to show and there is no hiding the truth from friends anymore.

The changes: She is definitely showing more now.

Big Lime

Today is the start of week 11. According to the books my wife reads, the baby is now the size of a big lime. Its amazing how fast the baby doubles in size. It seems like just a few weeks ago the baby was the size of a pinto bean. In case you were wondering where I get the pictures, its from online. More people know now that we are pregnant. On Saturday we had a Christmas party over at Megan and Kyle house. While at the party my wife told some friends of ours; Ryan and Laura.

The changes: Her stomach is getting firmer, and she is writing Christmas cards now...

Suck it in Bobby

Last night was the young marrieds Christmas party at the Point Edwards community cabana in Edmonds. The party was a success. Lots of food, dessert and games. The white elephant gift giving is always fun and always interesting. The gifts some people get are either really creative or questionable. Take for example, the gift my wife ended up with was a "Richard Simmons" cook book. I, on the other hand got some Disney snow globes. My wife was sucking in last night, thus the title...

We are still in the tenth week, and my wife's stomach continues to get more firm. Not eating right or consistently definitely affects my wife and her overall happiness points.

The changes: She was beautiful last night at the Christmas party. My beauty in red.

Rock Hard Abs

Well, in truth, the abs are pushed to the sides of the stomach. Although if you touch that pregnant stomach, WOW! it's firm, very firm. You just don't know what it's like till you are the father or mother and you feel the stomach.

Christmas is right around the corner, and my wife and I must get our shopping done, only a few weeks till we leave for Japan. The family still doesn't know that we are coming, this will be a nice surprise.

The changes: She is ever forgetful. Seems to get worse everyday. I have to remind her everyday to take her prenatal vitamin.

My Baby Blog

There are many other baby blogs out there apart of the blogosphere! I came across one called
My Baby Blog, the author started this blog in June and has racked up some good useful content for other baby bloggers. Everyone has their own approach to this, and their own style of conveying the thoughts and emotions of everyday during the pregnancy. Being the baby's daddy, blogging is one way for me to get my thoughts out and document my experiences, this also gives a source for other baby's daddies to come read what happens along the way. For another perspective click here here

The changes: The weather has cleared up, nothing new for the pregnancy.
